During the tour you get to visit the visiting team’s clubhouse to see how the other half lives. You also can try out your skill in the Nationals indoor batting cages. The ballpark is located at 1500 S Capitol St SE about a ½ mile south of the U.S. Capitol in the southeast section of Washington D.C.
The park is located within minutes of dozens of attractions found in our nation’s capital. The Washington Monument located at 15th St. & Constitution Ave. NW is just over 2 miles from Nationals Park. The monument is open daily all year round from 9:00am – 5:00 pm. The national Air and Space Museum is located at 6th St. & Independence Ave. SW just 1.5 miles from Nationals Park. The museum features exhibits such as the Apollo 11 Lunar Command Module, The Wright Brothers original plane, and Charles Lindbergh’s Spirit of St. Louis plane.
The White House located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is of course the home of the President. The White House offers tours from 7:30am to 11:00am Tuesday through Thursday, 7:30am to 12:00pm Fridays, and 7:30am to 1:00pm Saturdays. The Lincoln Memorial is located just 3.5 miles from the ballpark in the National Mall and is accessible via public transportation. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is located on the National Mall and pays tribute to the 58,195 service members listed as either Killed in Action or Missing in Action. The wall attracts over 3 million visitors per year.
In addition to the many fine places to eat inside the ball park the Washington D.C. area has dozens of fine restaurants to choose from. The Lafayette Restaurant located at 800 16th St NW just behind the White House offers typical American cuisine at affordable prices. Vidalia Restaurant located at 1990 M Street offers romantic dining, business dinners, and family dining.
There are dozens of hotels within a few miles of the Washington Nationals ballpark. This includes practically every major hotel chain along with some smaller local hotels. Some of the hotels are within walking distance of the Nationals ballpark. The pricing ranges from $89 to $299 depending on how far it is from the capitol area and the main attractions.
